Ston is situated just few kilometers away from main road Split - Dubrovnik, just about 60 km from Dubrovnik - which is, as world famous tourist destination - well connected with most of European and World capitals. Therefore - arrival to Ston is quite simple.

Traveling to Ston, Croatia with automobile ?

If you are arriving from the north, you can take several different paths to Ploce (Neretva valley), from where you should follow Adriatic tourist road (Jadranska turisticka cesta) in Dubrovnik direction. After about 50 km you will see well marked turn to Peljesac. When you turn to Peljesac, there is just few more kilometers to Ston.

Definetly the most comfortable way from Zagreb to south is motorway A1 Zagreb - Split - and in Split you simply continue to Dubrovnik by Adriatic tourist road.

Alternatively you can decide to skip motorway and use 'old' state road trough Knin. Eastern european travelers often preffer alternative route to Opuzen trouh Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Traveling to Ston by bus?

Dubrovnik is connected with regular international bus lines to/from München, Frankfurt, Trst, Medjugorje, Posusje, Mostar andi Sarajevo. Boat travel to Ston, Croatia?

Dubrovnik (ca. 60 km) and Korcula (ca. 60 km) are well conneted with both coastal lines to Rijeka (more info, reservation and ticket sale on Jadrolinija web site ), and international lines to Italian ports (Dubrovnik - Bari; Ancona - Korčula, Ancona/Pescara - Vela Luka; Termoli - Lastovo - Korcula) - for more info: www.azzurraline.com , www.lariveralines.com ). Also, you can use one of the numerous ferry lines to Split - and then easily continue to Ston by car or regular bus lines to Dubrovnik.

 

Flying to Croatia?

Nearest airport is one in Dubrovnik (60 km), and relatively close is Split airport (190 km). Both airports, specialy in high season are well connected with a lot of European cities.

 

Location of our home in Ston

Our house is few hundred meters from main crossing in Ston center. If you are coming from direction of Split or Dubrovnik, it's the first crossing uppon entering Ston. If you are coming from direction of Orebic / Korcula - main crossing is just after the small bridge in Ston center.

You should turn right if you are arriving from Split / Dubrovnik (towards Elementary school and police station). Take right turn at the end of that short road at the corner of parking lot infront of police station building. After about 200 meters you'll see our house on the left side on the road. Enter to parking lot by turning left immediately down by the house.
